KIM GASKINS, MBA

K. Gaskins Consulting red hearts - submark Logo
Kim is the President and CEO of SSTA. Kim has recently gone through her own lifestyle change. In the process of losing 100+ lbs. she realized many of the trainers and gyms in the area were the same. Most trainers lacked the skills and adaptability to meet client needs and gyms were focused on sales and not the members goals and how to get them there. After identifying this gap, Kim searched for a partner and industry experts to open a facility that focused on using the latest research, educating members and that is result-oriented in helping members achieving life changing goals. Professional, Kim has been an elementary school teacher and worked in Corporate America in a variety of positions. Kim currently operates a boutique coaching business where she is a coach, mentor and teacher to other small business owners. Kim is Excited about bringing all of her skills and passions to SSTA and leading the team.

Blake is the General Manager, and Sport Scientist Trainer/Coach at SSTA. Blake is a fitness professional who leads with a no-nonsense manner and embraces a science-based approach to training. After years of working in the fitness industry in a variety of positions, Blake wanted to open a facility that innovated the physical experience and focused on wellness as a continuum. Finding a partner with the same commitment to community health has made it possible for SSTA to focus on creating a lifestyle management private membership-based community where members receive a baseline health assessment, evidenced-based training and tracking to ensure clinically proven outcomes are measured. Blakes motto is “when it comes to someone’s health there should not be guessing and assumptions. We hinder growth as a community with limited opportunities to develop one’s fitness potential.” Blake holds many certifications in personal training and strength training. She is also a Top Ranked Female Powerlifter in CT and Nationally. Currently, Blake is earning her PhD in Physical Therapy (DPT) and once she graduates will be the resident physical therapist at SSTA.
